Suzuka Kokubu

Suzuka Kokubu (a.k.a Suzica) is an IT consultant, entrepreneur, singer-songwriter, and music producer. She has B.S. in Applied Physics from Columbia University and M.A. in Music Technology from McGill University where her research was focused on document analysis using AI. She also has delivered numerous projects at IBM, such as the human-driven design with multimodal AI, a smart factory, and new business development for logistics.

Her classical music training started at a young age, including piano, solfège, and vocal, which led her to have early performances as Molly in Annie (2002) and Little Cosette in Les Miserables (2003) in Japan. She attended the Kunitachi College of Music (junior/senior high school) from the age of 12. She has received prizes from many piano competitions including The American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition and performed piano at Carnegie Hall (New York) in 2016.
